PROBLEM TO SOLUTION WORKSHOPS
CE trainings for clinicians who work with childhood trauma and its aftermath
Each workshop is approved for 6 CE Hours
2011 OFFERING

Dear Colleagues,
I am excited to offer continuing education workshops to the community of mental health professionals. All the workshops described below are approved for 6 CE hours, including one Ethics workshop!
If you work with children and families, especially families that are involved with the child protective and juvenile justice systems, then you will find these workshops helpful, refreshing and energizing.
Many of you know of Pathways as a leading provider of mental health services to children and families who cope with life-altering trauma abuse, neglect, poverty, instability, single parent struggles and more. Pathways is a unique, psychologist-founded, private clinic dedicated to providing the highest quality services to those who have least access to them (and most need them).
In 1991, when I started Pathways Transition Programs, we still knew very little about how trauma, abuse, poverty, instability shape the trajectory of a childs life. Now, our knowledge of how the brain works, the biochemistry of emotions and the long-term impact of trauma has increased dramatically. The impact of this knowledge has not yet had a significant impact on policy and practice.
The good news is that what seemed like intractable problems, which we now know as Complex Trauma can be resolved and give traumatized children and families the tools to gain control over their own lives. Hence the PROBLEM TO SOLUTION workshop series. Each workshop will leave you with new ideas to incorporate into your repertoire of skills.
I look forward to seeing you at one or more of the workshops described below.
Warm Regards,
Sunaina R Jain, PhD
